GROW Licking County CIC, a premier economic development organization in Central Ohio, is looking for an Assistant Director.  

About the Organization

Formed in 2012 as a public-private partnership, GROW Licking County CIC serves as the local economic development organization (LEDO) for Licking County, Ohio.  Headquartered in Newark, OH, GROW Licking County has worked with a substantial number of manufacturers, logistics firms, data operations, and other job creators to diversify the local economy in Licking County.  Firms such as Facebook, Kohl's, Ariel Corporation, Carvana, & AEP Ohio have selected Licking County for their new or expanded operations because our diverse portfolio of development options coupled with a well-trained workforce.  In 2018, $1 in every $10 committed through the JobsOhio Network (JON) was committed in Licking County.  In 2019, the Board of Directors for GROW Licking County CIC voted to establish the organization as a wholly, standalone agency to promote growth and opportunity in Licking County.

What We Need

The newly created Assistant Director will work with the Executive Director to plan and implement business attraction, business expansion, and workforce development related strategies that continue to benefit all of Licking County.  These strategies will include the continued implementation of the organization's Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) attraction program, continued expansion of GROW's business retention and expansion program through LC Works, and the continued evolution of Licking County Works, a partnership between GROW Licking County CIC and OhioMeansJobs - Licking County, connecting local residents to opportunities in Licking County as well as marketing Licking County-based opportunities to individuals in surrounding areas via social media engagement.

Who We Need

GROW Licking County is in search of a reliable, passionate person committed to helping our local community continue to thrive.  You should have 3-5 years of experience in the areas of business, finance, public policy, real estate development, community development, economic development, workforce development, or similar type field. A mixture of education, training, and work experience will be accepted.  Beyond education and skills, you should have good time management skills, have a high attention to detail, have the flexibility to work independently as well as collaborate with internal and/or external partners, and be driven by the passion to create change in your community as well as purpose knowing that in this role, you will make a difference.
