Newark, OH- The Career and Technology Education Centers of Licking County (C-TEC) is thrilled to announce the appointment of our Adult Education Center Director, Lauren Massie, to the Board of Directors for Grow Licking County Community Improvement Corporation. GROW Executive Director Nate A. Strum asserts, “One of the leading factors in our business and development opportunities is our local workforce. Lauren’s appointment will ensure we continue to align educational opportunities with our business development needs.”

As the Adult Education Director, Lauren Massie oversees 15 adult workforce development programs, customized training for business and industry, Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE/GED), continuing education courses and a comprehensive Testing Center, successfully training more than 3,000 students for the workforce each year. She has more than 15 years of experience in education, including state-level policy and program development at the Ohio Department of Higher Education and Ohio Department of Education.

Lauren is a member of Young Leaders of Licking County, Licking County Chamber of Commerce, New Albany Chamber of Commerce and the Ohio Association of Career-Technical Education.

“The continued collaboration of education, business and industry will be a focus of my work on the Board of Grow Licking County Community Improvement Corporation,” says Lauren.
