Bleckmann, a European logistic and distribution center for the fashion and lifestyle industry is opening it's first US distribution center which will be located at the Johnstown Industrial Park.  The news made its way through Licking County, on May 23rd, after the council's approval of tax incentives.  This win will bring 200 jobs to Johnstown with a total annual payroll of $5.8 million by the end of 2019.

Bleckmann, originating in Belguim in 1862, continues to serve Europe and Asia, distributing over 300 million units annually.  Bleckmann has stated on their website, "we are moving away from country specific services and supply chain management and looking at our world as a global stage to support and grow."

This announcement is welcome news to Johnstown after the recent closing of Thirty-One Gifts.  Employees will get to experience the benefit of working close to home as opposed to commuting to Columbus.  Jim Lenner, Village Manager/Planner stated, "A council goal is to create an environment to live, work, and play in the community.  This is one avenue to establish that."

GROW Licking County is excited to welcome Bleckmann USA LLC to the community and is looking forward to helping them grow and succeed in Licking County.
