Announcing ED-101 Connect for 2017

To continue its mission to foster economic growth and development across the county, GROW Licking County Community Improvement Corporation is thrilled to announce that its ground-breaking, International Economic Development Council award winning seminar series, ED-101 Connect, will continue into 2017.
The objective of ED-101 Connect is to bring community leaders and topic experts relevant to economic development initiatives together to foster discussions and an in-depth knowledge of economic development as well as its critical role in preparing for the future.
"With over 75 attendees last year, ED-101 Connect began the conversation as well as established the necessary baseline related to some of the tools in the economic development toolbox here in Licking County,” said Nate Strum, Executive Director of GROW Licking County.  “Our goal this year is to build on those conversations to include the topics being explored as part of GROW Licking County CIC’s recently initiated Economic Development Action Plan: Transportation, Infrastructure, & Workforce Development.”
Through discussions of best practices, sharing of upcoming regional objectives, and insight on the importance of collaboration, these seminars will create a core of “in-the-know” community leaders, entrepreneurs, and business professionals that will be armed with the essential knowledge that is critical to individual and combined efforts to improve infrastructure, attract and retain business, and sustain a healthy local economy for residents and municipalities in Licking County.
"With the broad influence that economic development has in our communities, this educational seminar provides vital details to our elected & community leaders,” stated Jennifer McDonald, President of the Licking County Chamber of Commerce.  “The skills and knowledge shared at this seminar will enable our community’s leaders to make informed decisions regarding the continued economic growth in our county.”
This year’s session is slated for Wednesday, June 21st on the campus of Denison University.  This free event is open to the public – but we ask that you register beforehand (to ensure enough information is prepared).  To learn more about the seminar or to register, please visit: or call our offices at (740) 345-9757 ext. 6 and speak to Jillian Rine, Project Associate for GROW Licking County.
A light dinner will also be provided.
